Russian River Valley

Voluptuous whites are richer in texture, thanks to riper fruit. Most are dry wines that feature the added flavor complexity of new oak barrel use, but a handful are lusciously-sweet late-harvested dessert wines.

FOOD PAIRING: Ideally suited to richer dishes and cooked foods, like GRILLED OR FRIED SEAFOOD, POULTRY & WHITE MEATS, plus dishes featuring BUTTER, ONIONS or NUTS.

At DeLoach Vineyards we strive to produce distinctive wines that highlight unique terroirs in a socially and environmentally responsible way, practicing sustainable viticulture and minimally intrusive winemaking techniques. The 2019 vintage of Our Finest Selection Chardonnay is a partnership amongst the best vineyards within the Russian River Valley. The cool, foggy Russian River Valley climate enables our grapes to develop ideal characteristics that contribute to this distinctive Chardonnay.

Tasting Notes

Bright apple blossom and wet stone aromas spring from the glass with floral notes.

This is a full-bodied Chardonnay with flavors of rich baked apple, pear, nutmeg and clove. Lemon meringue lingers on the finish with a zesty minerality.

Vintage Notes:

Harvested between September 21-24, the grapes were whole-cluster pressed to stainless steel tanks for overnight settling. The juice was then racked to barrels for fermentation by native yeasts and malolactic conversion proceeded
naturally during aging, while the lees-stirring contributed to enhanced mouthfeel. After being aged for 15 months in 14% new French oak, barrels were hand-selected to assemble the final blend before being bottled.
