2021
Sonoma County

Chardonnay
SKU: BSCH213JX

Voluptuous whites are richer in texture, thanks to riper fruit. Most are dry wines that feature the added flavor complexity of new oak barrel use, but a handful are lusciously-sweet late-harvested dessert wines.

FOOD PAIRING: Ideally suited to richer dishes and cooked foods, like GRILLED OR FRIED SEAFOOD, POULTRY & WHITE MEATS, plus dishes featuring BUTTER, ONIONS or NUTS.

Winemaking
Vintage Notes:

After a few challenging years, 2021 was a steady year, allowing the grapes to ripen at their regular pace. While the yield was slightly lighter to average due to a variety of water conservation efforts, the 2021 vintage is showing exceptional flavors - ripe, intense, and fruit forward - with a much better balance than in past year summers, and grape growers were able to maintain ideal acid levels with balanced, concentrated fruit flavors. Our Sonoma County Chardonnay was harvested from our vineyard partners in various regions of the Sonoma County appellation to craft a wine that was immediately enjoyable upon release.
