Description

WHAT THE NUMBER 121 SIGNIFIES: N°121 speaks to the symbolic route through Carneros, the throughline of the pristine southernmost appellation that connects California’s two most iconic wine regions. It’s a land of mystery, of secrets… and the gateway to wine country that opened my eyes to the possibility to one day make great Pinot Noir in California.

Tasting Notes
Appearance:

This 2019 Pinot Noir from Carneros strikes a pale ruby in the glass.

Aroma:

Aromas of raspberry, blackberry, and an ever so slight hint of rose petal.

Palate:

This wine is delicate yet bold with a fruit-forward dominance on the palate followed by damp earth, tart cherry, and expressive white pepper notes. The cool climate helped to preserve the acidity leading to a crisp and balanced finish.

Winemaking
Vintage Notes:

This ESOTERIC Pinot Noir comes from the Carneros region known for its cool, mysterious fog which envelopes the land and holds the crisp air arriving from the bay. N°121 exhibits a LINGERING mouthfeel with appealing notes of spice and red berry. With its ability to not only survive but thrive, this CHARMING addition to the JCB Collection reflects all the unmistakable character that is expected from California’s oldest and most celebrated viticultural area.
