Description

Proprietor Jean-Charles Boisset’s French bulldog, Frenchie, represents the very essence of style, charisma and personality. With his stout stature and ability to steal everyone’s heart, he is definitely royalty around the winery. At Frenchie Winery we give you the opportunity to take a piece of royalty home with you in the form of some delicious wines. Whether or not Frenchie descends directly from the monarchy is irrelevant. His regal airs lie in his pure breed attitude, his don’t–stand-in-my-way strut and his round eyes that shine like gems on a crown. His majestic dignity and kingly authority are irresistible, as much of his adoring public already knows.

Tasting Notes
Appearance:

Immersed in a profound red hue.

Aroma:

This wine emanates a fragrant bouquet featuring cassis, plum, and cherry cordial, a sensory overture to its richness.

Palate:

Dark fruit flavors envelop the structured palate, accompanied by nuanced notes of earth, espresso, and baked berry pie. Assertive and full-bodied, the fine-grained tannins contribute to a bold character, concluding with a savory finish that lingers with distinction.

Winemaking
Vintage Notes:

The grapes of this prestigious blend were harvested from three vineyards with the majority of the fruit coming from St. Helena and Rutherford with a splash of the Oak Knoll District. The grapes went through extended maceration and were on their skins for an average of 38 days before the wine was bottled unfiltered on August 16, 2022.
