About Raymond Generations: First made in 1994 to pay homage to the Raymond family’s five generations of Napa Valley winemaking, dating back to 1870 through the Beringer side of the family, this iconic Cabernet Sauvignon ranks among the finest the region has to offer. The wine is selected from our best Cabernet Sauvignon blocks each year, including estate fruit as well as select vineyards throughout Napa Valley and is lavished with care, including extended aging in new French oak. Powerful, concentrated, ripe berry flavors with integrated tannins for long term cellaring potential, this is an iconic and historic selection for true Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon enthusiasts and collectors.
This limited production wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and the fruit was hand-harvested between September 18 and October 5. Grapes were fermented on the skins and underwent extended maceration for an average of 38 days to lend complexity and depth to the wine before being racked to new, tight-grained, medium and medium-plus toast French oak barrels for 19 months of aging. Only our best barrels from Ermitage, Taransaud, and Demptos were selected for this wine.
