Petaluma Gap

With the Pacific Ocean to the west and the San Francisco Bay to the east, Marin County is on of the coolest AVAs in California. The winter temperatures are typically warmer because of the surrounding bodies of water and its heavy precipitation. This longer growing season lends itself to high quality wines with balance and natural acidity.

Tasting Notes

Enticing aromas of green apple with notes of baking spice and cinnamon waft from the glass.

The creamy and textured palate is layered with flavors of crème brûlée, brioche and toasted almonds. Balanced acidity leads to a beautiful finish that lingers.

Vintage Notes:

Heavy spring rains enriched the soils and delayed bud break by a few weeks. A heat spike in June, followed by warm weather, brought even veraison throughout the vineyards. A cooling trend and touch of rain in mid-September created ideal conditions for the 2019 harvest which is considered a near-perfect vintage.
