he Rockpile AVA of Sonoma County is a remote region ranging in elevations from 800 to 1200 feet, allowing for plentiful sunlight with less fog, thanks to an inversion layer created by nearby Lake Sonoma. The rocky hillsides stress the vines which results in small grape yields and concentrated, intense flavors.

Tasting Notes

Opening with notes of fresh berries, gingerbread, and cinnamon, our 2016 Zinfandel is a charming red wine.

With smoothly integrated, velvet tannins, this wine offers flavors of juicy cherry-fruit, boysenberry, light black pepper, and hints of vanilla graham cracker on the palate.

Vintage Notes:

The 2016 vintage across California was a near-perfect growing season. A mild winter and spring along led to warm days and cool nights in the summer, and grape growers were able to maintain ideal acid levels with balanced, concentrated fruit flavors.
