North Coast

Cabernet Sauvignon
Description

With its roots so deeply ensconced in the foundations of California's coastal appellations, Buena Vista Winery is again introducing wines from the North Coast. The North Coast wines include a diverse array of varietals that celebrate the diversity of California's terroir and the contribution of Buena Vista to establishing the California wine world.

Tasting Notes
Aroma:

The 20I5 North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon opens with red fruit aromas of cherry and strawberry with a lovely cinnamon note and a touch of bay leaf.

Palate:

The red fruit characteristics continue through to the palate and complemented by cocoa flavors. This is a medium-bodied wine with enveloping tannins matched by sweet fruit creating a long finish.

Winemaking
Vintage Notes:

The 20I5 vintage in Sonoma County was the earliest harvested vintage to date, beginning in early August and finishing in mid-September. A hot and dry summer led to developed fruit and rich, ripe flavors and while yield was down overall, the smaller berries had concentrated flavors and exceptional quality.
