Alexander Valley

Alexander Valley, one of the largest and most abundantly planted wine regions in Sonoma County, produces rich, plump wines due to the area’s warm climate. The hot afternoons and cool evenings make for the ideal climate for zinfandel. The warmer temperature allows grapes to evenly ripen, ensuing the robust flavors.

Tasting Notes

Opening with notes of fresh berries, gingerbread, and cinnamon, our 2016 Zinfandel is a charming red wine.

With smoothly integrated, velvet tannins, this wine offers flavors of juicy cherry-fruit, boysenberry, light black pepper, and hints of vanilla graham cracker on the palate.

Vintage Notes:

The 2016 vintage across California was a near-perfect growing season. A mild winter and spring along led to warm days and cool nights in the summer, and grape growers were able to maintain ideal acid levels with balanced, concentrated fruit flavors.
