1 1/2 Acre

Red Wine

2014 was our second harvest of our meter by meter planting at Raymond Vineyards. Our estate is planted to all five varietals of a classic Bordeaux blend and designed to be the truest expression of terroir from our certified organic and Biodynamic® vineyard. Harvested on September 20, a fruit day in accordance with the Biodynamic calendar, the grapes were in their optimal state for the wine to realize its full potential.

Tasting Notes

The grapes in this blend were grown Biodynamically and organically to create a truly harmonious expression of our estate. The 1 ½ Acre opens with enticing aromas of currant, cassis and candied violets with a touch of nutmeg.

This soft and supple blend has a nice round mouthfeel showcasing bright acidity and Bing cherry mixed with red fruits. The finish is long and beautiful with fine-grained tannins.

Vintage Notes:

The 2014 vintage in Napa Valley was one of the earliest harvested vintages in years. A warm spring led to early bud break and created the perfect environment for flowering and fruit set. With warm days and cool nights, our team was able to maintain ideal acid levels with optimum, bright fruit flavors.
