Nº 68
-
Description
What the Number 68 Signifies: In 1868 a new grape from Old World France was brought across the treacherous seas to the New World Argentina: Malbec. This foray into the New World brought about new changes for creative expression and passion to arise and be celebrated. In the same way, Jean Charles ventured across the ocean to ignite his creative passions and to craft exquisite wines that unite the Old and New Worlds.
Aroma:The wine opens with captivating dark fruit aromas of raspberry and plum, cloves, and a touch of currant.
Palate:On the palate, these intricate flavors are all further accented by underlying flavors of baking spices and rich earthiness. This is a structured wine with soft tannins and a balanced and lingering finish.
Vintage Notes:JCB N° 4 is sourced from vineyards located in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley where morning fog allows the Merlot grapes to fully ripen without extreme heat. A climate similar to Burgundy’s. Bottled unfiltered.
