Vieilles Vignes
-
Description
The fruit for our Vieilles Vignes Blanc is harvested from the heart of the cool Russian River Valley appellation from three distinctive vineyards: Ritchie, Ricioli and Fanucchi-Wood Road. The Ritchie Vineyard vines are over 40 years old and yield small clusters with ripe skins and concentrated flavors. The Ricioli Vineyard has an alluvial clay-loam soil composition and is planted to the Musque clone of Sauvignon Blanc lending floral aromas to the wine. Fanucchi-Wood Road is an organically grown and dry-farmed vineyard with the vines receiving great sun exposure resulting in bright fruit flavors.
Aroma:Bright and floral aromas of orange blossom and lemon zest spring from the glass.
Palate:Refreshing and plush flavors greet the palate with notes of cantaloupe, white peach and lime. This wine showcases balanced acidity that carries throughout the long and clean finish. A truly delightful white wine.
Vintage Notes:The grapes were hand-harvested between August 21 and September 30 and were whole-cluster pressed and fermented in neutral oak barrels prior to bottling.
