Private Reserve

Pinot Noir

The Private Reserve wines are the ultimate wines within the portfolio; limited in production, sourced from the finest vineyards in Sonoma County and from appellations best suited for a specific varietal given the dramatic diversity in climatic and soil conditions across the County.

Tasting Notes

Enticing aromas of plum, blackberry, blueberry and red currants greet the nose in this 2019 Sonoma County Pinot Noir.

Juicy red fruit flavors of cherry, raspberry and cranberry are accented by notes of white pepper. This medium-bodied Pinot has well integrated tannins and balanced acidity.

Vintage Notes:

This enticing Pinot Noir comes predominately from the Thornton Vineyard that sits above the Sonoma Valley with small portions coming from SonomaStage Vineyard, Starkey Vineyard and Goodin Vineyard. Predominantly from the Pommard clone, a blend of the Swan and Calera clones enhance the wine’s depth and breadth. Hand-picked and fermented in open-top fermenters, this wine received hand punchdowns before aging for 15 months in 35% new French oak and was bottled unfiltered.
