1881 Napa

Sauvignon Blanc

The cherished Napa Valley landscape is planted to 47,000 acres of wine grapes and segmented into 16 district AVA’s, each lauded for their unique and diverse terroir. Ranging from cool, coastal influences to warmer temperatures, mountainous terrain to valley floor, clay soil to volcanic rock, the Napa Valley American Viticulture Areas are truly remarkable. The wines of 1881 Napa honor the rich history, legacy and heritage of this world-famous winegrowing region from its district wines to select wines blended with fruit from across the valley to create the ideal expression of a Napa Valley wine.

Tasting Notes

This 100% barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc opens with a welcoming floral bouquet and notes of crème brûlée.

This is a very refreshing wine with bright, crisp citrus notes of orange zest and grapefruit. A flash of oak adds good texture and complexity to this easy to drink Sauvignon Blanc.

Vintage Notes:

2019 was a near picture-perfect growing season that began in late February followed by a mild Spring yielding uniform grape clusters. Temperatures remained moderate to cool throughout the season with 2019 being
considered one of the coolest vintages of the past decade. The cooler temperatures allowed for a longer hangtime resulting in an even and temperate harvest.
