Green Valley of Russian River Valley

Voluptuous whites are richer in texture, thanks to riper fruit. Most are dry wines that feature the added flavor complexity of new oak barrel use, but a handful are lusciously-sweet late-harvested dessert wines.

FOOD PAIRING: Ideally suited to richer dishes and cooked foods, like GRILLED OR FRIED SEAFOOD, POULTRY & WHITE MEATS, plus dishes featuring BUTTER, ONIONS or NUTS.

In the western hills of the Russian River Valley, the small Green Valley appellation is one of Sonoma County’s coolest regions. Evening fog rolls in over from the Pacific Ocean to temper the warm summer days. These optimal conditions extend the growing season, encouraging flavor concentration in the berries while soils rich in minerals from an ancient seabed infuse the fruit with nuanced flavors.

Tasting Notes

A lovely straw yellow color in the glass.

Vibrant aromas of lemon, orange blossom and pear waft from the glass.

The savory palate showcases flavors of toasted almond, nutmeg and citrus notes. Moderate acidity and a lingering finish create a truly enticing and delicious Chardonnay.

Vintage Notes:

The grapes were hand harvested from select vineyards within the appellation on September 24 and October 12 and were hand sorted and whole cluster pressed before aging in barrel for 17 months in 31% new French oak barrels.
