Description

Our Small Lot Collection Petite Sirah grapes come from our Biodynamic and organically grown Estate vineyard in Rutherford. After a short maceration, fermentation took place with 21 days on the skins. This Petite Sirah is 100% barrel-aged for 21 months in Radoux French oak barrels, 26% new French oak.

Tasting Notes
Appearance: 

Showcasing deep, dark purples hues.

Aroma: 

This wine opens with classic notes of anise, blueberry and huckleberry notes. 

Palate: 

This is a powerful and dense wine with structured tannins and a velvety, plush mouthfeel. The palate offers spicy and jammy notes of boysenberry with hints of earth and minerality. This finish is long and seamless.

Winemaking
Vintage Notes: 

The 2016 vintage across California was a near-perfect growing season. A mild winter and spring led to a steady mild July and August, followed by warm days at the end of the season for the perfect ripeness. With warm days and cool nights in the summer, grape growers were able to maintain ideal acid levels with balanced, concentrated fruit flavors.
