Eleanora's Selection

Chardonnay
Description

Named for Count Haraszthy's wife, Eleanora's Selection Chardonnay is harvested from the windswept Hawk Hill vineyard and the late ripening Stubb's Vineyard.

Tasting Notes
Aroma:

Fresh and fragrant aromas of lemon and apple with a touch of sweet vanilla from the barrel leap out of the glass of our 2016 Eleanora's Selection Chardonnay.

Palate:

A textured palate of Fuji apple, lemon creme and dried apricot are complemented with a hint of vanilla caramel and coriander. The wine has medium-plus body and spreading, rich mouthfeel with bright acidity. This beautifully balanced wine is a perfect pairing with grilled lobster or creamy polenta dishes.

Winemaking
Vintage Notes:

After hand harvesting, the grapes were whole cluster pressed into French oak barrels, 30% new, aged on the lies for 17 months and then bottled unfiltered.
