Tasting Notes

This 2014 Pinot Noir opens with a lovely, floral nose balanced with a richness of grilled plums and black cherries with a touch of deep maple.

The first sip presents strawberries and juicy cherries with soft tannins and an exuberant, big clean finish.

Vintage Notes:
Named for Count Haraszthy‘s youngest daughter Otelia’s Selection Pinot Noir is sourced from one of the Finest vineyards atop Sonoma Mountain. Coming from some of the oldest Pinot Noir vines in Sonoma County, this wine beautifully portrays the unique terroir of this vineyard.
A distinctive blend of clones including 828, 777, 23, Old Vine and La Tache are enhanced with a small amount of Pinot Meunier to add depth and complexity. A variety of soils ranging from sandy loam with a shallow clay layer to heavy clay contribute to the distinctive deep fruit and earthy flavors in this wine.
