Cabernet Sauvignon

Our powerful boldest premium reds, dark, age-worthy wines of substance. Regardless of their grape, these heavyweights are barrel-aged and quite concentrated in flavor.

FOOD PAIRING: These big reds perform best with rich, high-protein foods such as AGED CHEESES & RED MEATS and work brilliantly with RICHER, BOLDER SAUCES too.

Generations is a tribute to the Raymond family’s five generations of winemaking in the Napa Valley. This limited production wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and the fruit was hand-harvested between October 11-17. Grapes were fermented on the skins and underwent extended maceration for an average of 46 days to lend complexity and depth to the wine before being racked to new, tight-grained, medium and medium-plus toast French oak barrels for 18-20 months of aging. Only our best barrels from Taransaud, Baron, Demptos and Ermitage were selected for this wine.

Tasting Notes

A stunning deep purple color.

This 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with wafting aromas of chocolate, cedar, violet and blackcurrant.

This wine is rich and full-bodied with concentrated dark fruit flavors, layered with notes of juicy raspberry and black cherry and hints of vanilla bean. The finish is long, bright and fragrant with perfectly balanced and integrated silky and velvety tannins.

Vintage Notes:

The grapes for this 2019 Generations Cabernet Sauvignon were grown in three vineyards in Napa Valley. Two of the vineyards are in the St. Helena appellation and lend richness and power to the wine. The third vineyard in Oakville, adds a nice suppleness to the palate and provides a good balance between the two appellations. By blending grapes from these renowned vineyards and appellations, we are able to make a wine that truly represents the best of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and honors our five generations of making wine in the Napa Valley.
