I always figured that I'd retire from teaching and move to wine country and spend the rest of my carefree days talking about—and pouring—delicious fermented grape beverages to folks who, like me, love All Things Wine. However, that would require: 1.) leaving my family and relocating hundreds of miles away and,  2.) actually knowing a whole bunch of stuff about wine.

If truth be told, in my heart of hearts I knew my dream would likely never be realized. Until the Boisset Ambassadorship opportunity came along. Now, not only do I have access to an impressive library of amazing wines for my own enjoyment, but I can share Boisset's great collection with my family, colleagues, friends and new-friends-through-wine. (And, I might add, all at a serious Society Member Discount!) And while that alone was reason enough to inspire me to become a Boisset Ambassador, what was even more exciting to me is that the Boisset Family provides extensive education and training about, not only their wines, but the entire wine tasting experience. 

I got into the wine enjoying business relatively late in life and, I admit, the idea of "selling wine" was rather intimidating. Yes, there are scores of wine aficionados whose impressive knowledge of the wine making industry trumps mine. But what I lack in UC Davis Department of Vinticulture knowledge, I more than make up with my eagerness to share life's precious moments over a glass of yummy Boisset wine and a plank of cheese and warm bread. Honestly, life can't get much better. Cheers to Life and this next, new chapter. I can't wait to share it with you.
