2019
Beaune Premier Cru "Les Marconnets"

Chardonnay
SKU: BDCHLM1976

Voluptuous whites are richer in texture, thanks to riper fruit. Most are dry wines that feature the added flavor complexity of new oak barrel use, but a handful are lusciously-sweet late-harvested dessert wines.

FOOD PAIRING: Ideally suited to richer dishes and cooked foods, like GRILLED OR FRIED SEAFOOD, POULTRY & WHITE MEATS, plus dishes featuring BUTTER, ONIONS or NUTS.

Description

Since 1750, Bouchard Ainé & Fils is devoted to the excellence and renown of the region's noble grapes. The 18th-century Hôtel du Conseiller du Roy in Beaune houses the cellars where is perpetuated, generation after generation, the tradition of quality, elegance and prestige in selecting and making fine Burgundy wines.

The Beaune vineyards are among the most extensive of the Côte. This "Village" appellation covers 410 hectares, 317 of which are classified as Premier Cru. The right to use the words "Premier Cru" is a distinction granted to certain climats whose wines are traditionally highly regarded, as with the plot known as "Les Marconnets", which extends over 9.39 hectares.

Please note that this is an imported wine and cannot legally be shipped to AL, GA, IA, IL, IN, LA, ME, MI, MO, MT, OH, SD, VA or WV
