The grapes for the Generations Chardonnay come from our estate vineyards in Jameson Canyon located at the southern end of Napa Valley and a vineyard over 1,400 feet in elevation in the Atlas Peak appellation. The Jameson Canyon estate vineyard is planted on rolling hills with cooling winds from the nearby Pacific Ocean that provide a long, cool growing season enhancing the intensity of the Chardonnay flavors.

Tasting Notes

Our 2016 Generations Chardonnay offers striking floral and citrus notes that are complemented by pear and honeysuckle.

Rich and viscous, flavors of crème brulée, apricot and a touch of allspice spread across the palate. This is a structured wine that is round and plush with good acidity and nicely integrated oak.

Vintage Notes:

The 2016 vintage across California was a near-perfect growing season. A mild winter and spring led to a steady and mild July and August, followed by warm days at the end of the season for the perfect ripeness. With warm days and cool nights in the summer, grape growers were able to maintain ideal acid levels with balanced, concentrated fruit flavors.
