Mendocino County (made with organic grapes)

Mendocino County is a leader in certified organically-grown grapes. There are 17,000 acres of vineyards in the County, with 25% of them growing certified organic grapes. The grapes for this 2019 Chardonnay were harvested from a selection of certified organic vineyards and the back label proudly displays the CCOF certification of “made with organic grapes”.

Tasting Notes

A beautiful golden hue.

Aromas of citrus aromas of lychee and mango greet the nose.

Green apple, pear and honeysuckle flavors are layered with notes of blanched almonds and accentuate the bright acidity in this beautifully balanced wine with a touch of minerality on the finish.

Vintage Notes:

Heavy spring rains enriched the soils and delayed bud break by a few weeks. A heat spike in June, followed by warm weather, brought even veraison throughout the vineyards. A cooling trend and touch of rain in mid-September created ideal conditions for the 2019 harvest which is considered a near-perfect vintage.
