Cabernet Sauvignon

Generations is a tribute to the Raymond family’s five generations of winemaking in the Napa Valley. This limited production wine is 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot, giving our Cabernet extra backbone and structure, contributing to the ultimate expression of this varietal.

Tasting Notes

Dark ruby in the glass.

Our 2015 Generations Cabernet Sauvignon opens with alluring aromas of concentrated blackberry with brambly and mineral notes.

This big and full, velvety, wine offers a lot of density with a very brooding finish. Flavors of cassis are accented by touch of black licorice with a beautifully long finish on the palate.

Vintage Notes:

The unseasonably warm temperatures in the early growing season in the Napa Valley in 2015 resulted in early bud break and bloom. Colder temperatures later in the season caused uneven fruit set and resulted in a smaller crop than previous average yields. Winemakers and vineyard crews worked diligently to pick and sort the best berries. Harvest began as early as July 22nd, one of the earliest harvests recorded and concluded by mid-October. While drought was still a concern for most of California, Napa Valley received 75% of normal rainfall for the water year.
