Sauvignon Blanc

The grapes are sourced from a prominent vineyard in Lake County. The warm days and nights bring out tropical notes and the fleshiness on the mid-palate, while the higher elevation provides for longer days for ripening above the fog. Our 2016 North Coast Sauvignon Blanc was 100% stainless steel tank fermented sur lies for 5 months at consistently cooler temperatures with a slightly warmer finish. The cooler temperature retains fruit expression and the warmer finish reduces any bitterness that can be inherent in Sauvignon Blanc.

Our 2016 Family Classic North Coast Sauvignon Blanc opens with bright and inviting notes of kaffir lime and guava.


With a fleshy mouthfeel on the mid-palate, flavors of sweet melon and grapefruit are balanced with a flinty minerality leading to a crisp acidity on the finish.

Vintage Notes: 

The 2016 vintage across California was a near-perfect growing season. A mild winter and spring led to a steady mild July and August, followed by warm days at the end of the season for the perfect ripeness. With warm days and cool nights in the summer, grape growers were able to maintain ideal acid levels with balanced, concentrated fruit flavors.
