Legend Vineyard Exclusive

Chardonnay
SKU: LECHCN213C

Voluptuous whites are richer in texture, thanks to riper fruit. Most are dry wines that feature the added flavor complexity of new oak barrel use, but a handful are lusciously-sweet late-harvested dessert wines.

FOOD PAIRING: Ideally suited to richer dishes and cooked foods, like GRILLED OR FRIED SEAFOOD, POULTRY & WHITE MEATS, plus dishes featuring BUTTER, ONIONS or NUTS.

Tasting Notes
Appearance:

Bright and clear, pale gold

Aroma:

Our 2021 LVE Chardonnay is full, rich and balanced. The nose boasts aromas of white fruit, star jasmine and honeydew melon.

Palate:

Full, rich and long on the palate, it’s reminiscent of crème anglaise and toasted brioche with a hint of nutmeg and citrus zest.

Winemaking
Vintage Notes:

Our Chardonnay comes from vineyards in Carneros which is a sub AVA of Napa. The vineyards are on a blend of soil types ranging from sandy soils to slightly heavier, clay-based soils. The heavier soils allow for a gentle maturation which provides a richer mouthfeel while the sandy, sloped vineyard provides an aromatic lift. Together, the fruit harmonizes to great a well-balanced Chardonnay.
