2018
Russian River Valley
-
Description
To create our 2018 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, grapes were predominantly hand-harvested from the certified Sonoma Sustainable BCD Vineyard and Murray Vineyard as well as the Heintz Vineyard which is in the process of certification. Each of these Russian River Valley Vineyards contributes their unique complexities to the final blend.
Appearance:A beautiful ruby red color in the glass
Aroma:This Pinot Noir opens with bright red fruit aromas of strawberry and cherry.
Palate:Raspberry, rhubarb and dark plum flavors are met with a touch of spice and bright acidity. This is a medium-bodied wine with moderate tannins and a lingering and mouthwatering finish.
Vintage Notes:The 2018 growing season started off with cooler temperatures which was followed by a moderate summer with fewer heat spikes than normal. Fruit set was consistent and with the milder weather, harvest began a few weeks later compared to the last few years. This longer and near-perfect growing season has resulted in structured and concentrated wines.
