Late Harvest

Using estate grapes and selected fruit from growers in the Russian River Valley, the “Russian River Valley” series of wines represent the “heart and soul” of DeLoach offerings. Consistently award winning and satisfying, the wines exhibit an elegant fruit-forward flavor profile unique to this appellation. Our Late Harvest Gewürztraminer is made only in those years when growing conditions allow the grapes to develop the rich qualities necessary for this sort of wine. 375ml bottle.

Tasting Notes

A gorgeous honey color in the glass.

Offers intense aromatic notes of white peach and nectarine with a hint of honeysuckle.

Luscious across the palate, ripe flavors of apricot and orange marmalade mingle with honey and a light, bright citrus note on the finish. This delightfully sweet wine offers a surprisingly fresh finish.

Vintage Notes:

The late harvest Gewürztraminer was harvested over multiple days from a vineyard in the upper Sonoma Valley, allowing us to optimize fruit ripeness across the harvest. The first pick was pressed directly to tank, while the second pick was crushed to a bin to cold-soak overnight for additional extraction, then was pressed the next day to barrel, and blended with the first lot several days later for a long, cold native fermentation. The wine was then aged in all neutral oak before being bottled. The fruit was picked at 30.3 brix and final residual sugar is 11% by volume.
