Description

The fruit for our Vieilles Vignes Blanc is harvested from the heart of the cool Russian River Valley appellation from three distinctive vineyards: Ritchie, Ricioli and Fanucchi-Wood Road. The Ritchie Vineyard vines are over 40 years old and yield small clusters with ripe skins and concentrated flavors. The Ricioli Vineyard has an alluvial clay-loam soil composition and is planted to the Musque clone of Sauvignon Blanc lending floral aromas to the wine. Fanucchi-Wood Road is an organically grown and dry-farmed vineyard with the vines receiving great sun exposure resulting in bright fruit flavors.

Tasting Notes
Aroma:

Fresh floral aromas of lemon blossom and orange marmelade leap from the glass.

Palate:

Luxurious and refreshing flavors entice the palate with hints of white peach, pear and fresh-cut lime. This wine displays well-integrated acidity that lingers throughout the llengthy, crisp finish. A truly delightful and invigorating white wine.

Winemaking
Vintage Notes:

The grapes were hand-harvested between August 31 and September 2 and were whole-cluster pressed and fermented in neutral oak barrels prior to bottling.
